Dear Citizens of the Walled Lake District,
I believe that we should do more for our community, and to lend a helping hand. We can help by distributing our time, money, and food. Volunteering to do community service such as working at the Hospitality House helps a lot. Distributing money helps those in need to by food clothes, etc. Donating our food helps because it gets delivered to those who really need it.
A place you are always available to distribute to is the Hospitality house. The Hospitality House serves residents of Walled Lake, Commerce, Novi, Wixom, etc., etc. You can donate a financial donation or nonperishable goods. The Hospitality House is a food pantry that donates food to qualifying individuals.
When my class and I went to the Hospitality House we donated over 971 lbs. of canned/boxed goods! It inspired us to do more for the community, I know it inspired me.
Many different people distribute to the Hospitality House such as church groups, businesses, schools, and individuals, just to name a few.
It really feels good to know that, whatever you distributed goes to someone who really needs it more than we do.
Donating makes you realize that so many people need our help but not many people are aware of it. Open your heart with compassion and help our community by inspiring other people to distribute money, food, toys, etc., etc. I believe that we can do more to help our community in many different ways if we all help each other and you can make many people truly know how to help our community.
